Cross Stitch Addict

Hi, I'm Alison, chief designer and owner of Country Cross Stitch Kits (www.countrycrossstitchkits.co.uk) and I am a 100% confirmed cross stitch addict! I know I am not the only one out there, so hopefully if you are an addict too you will enjoy my blog.

Name:
Location: Norfolk, United Kingdom

I am lucky enough to have been a designer / artist for most of my adult life. I have always had a passion for fabric crafts and for quite a few years produced paintings, mainly of flowers, on pieces of silk using dyes. My main passion has always been cross stitching however and a couple of years ago I took the plunge and set up Country Cross Stitch Kits. The rest, as they say, is history and here I am still adding new designs and trying to build my business. The best part of all of this is meeting so many lovely people who share a love of cross stitch. I hope you enjoy my blog, feel free to add any comments and have fun!

FREE Cross Stitch Pattern - 'The Diet Begins Tomorrow'

Hello all,

Here is a new free pattern for all of my blog readers, it seemed appropriate for this time of year although perhaps it should be 'Life's too short to diet!' - what do you think?

The pattern is 2.4" x 2.4" (when stitched on 14 / 28 count fabric) and uses 5 colours. As with all our patterns it contains:

  • Cross stitch chart

  • Separate back stitch chart

  • Printed thread organiser

  • List of threads required with both DMC and Anchor numbers

  • List of thread lengths and finished sizes when stitched on 11/22, 14/28, 16/32 and 18/36 count fabrics

  • Colour picture of finished design

  • Full cross stitching instructions

Click on the link below the picture to download this FREE cross stitch pattern

Don't forget to check out the free cross stitch patterns page on our website for more free patterns.

Best regards and happy stitching!
Alison

Hi Outi,

LOL - You obviously read minds as well as cross stitch! When I put this post on the blog I almost included a line about this making a great fridge magnet :)

Diets - who needs them?

Happy stitching!

Hi, I've made this up into a coaster to remind myself not to eat a biscuit everytime I have a cup of tea. Hope it works. Maggie.

Hi Maggie,

Don't forget - you can have a biscuit today, the diet doesn't start untill tomorrow! Anyway, I won't tell anyone if you don't :)

Hope you enjoy using your coaster, thanks for the comment and happy stitching!
